Annual Prize for
Psychological Research on Women & Gender
by Graduate or Undergraduate Students
Awarded by Association for Women in Psychology (AWP) & Division 35 (Psychology of Women) of the American Psychological Association (APA) Research
Research Topics
Topics eligible for this research award will be construed broadly and may come from any area of psychology, applied or basic, experimental, archival, or community-based, qualitative or quantitative. The research should have relevance to women’s lives, or more generally to the role of gender ideologies on human behavior.
Eligibility
Jointly-authored papers are eligible, but the first author must have been a student at the time the research was conducted. Entries should be of approximately journal length and written in APA style. Eligible papers include unpublished manuscripts as well as papers that have been submitted or accepted for publication, recently published, or presented at a professional meeting, but they must be submitted in manuscript form and not sent as pre-prints. Please do not submit manuscripts with authors’ names embedded in them.
Judging
A panel of psychologists will read entries using a standard masked review procedure. Entries will be judged on theoretical creativity, methodological skill, clarity and style, and social importance of the research question and findings.
Awards
First and alternate winners will be announced at the APA meeting in August 2010. A $250.00 prize will be awarded for the best paper.

Attach a copy of your paper to an e-mail sent to the address below. Also, send four (4) copies of the paper, a self-addressed, stamped postcard and a self-addressed stamped business size envelope by April 1, 2010 to:
