The first-ever Mid-Winter Meeting was held at the Timonium Graduate Center of Loyola College in Maryland on March 28 and 29. The meeting was a joint venture of Division 36 and Loyola's Institute for Religious and Psychological Research.

The theme of the meeting was "Building Bridges Through Theory, Research, and Practice." The meeting began Friday morning with words of welcome from Father Harold Ridley, Loyola President; Crystal Park, Division 36 President; and Ralph Piedmont, Director of the Institute for Religious and Psychological Research and Division 36 membership chair.

Invited speakers included Lee J. Richmond, David Moberg, Robert Emmons (photo left), Michael Levenson, Richard Snyder, William A. Richards, Robert McCrae, and Carolyn Aldwin.

In addition to the invited papers, 21 paper presentation sessions were held. There was also a poster session (photos below). Overall, 121 people were presenters or authors at the meeting.

Continuing education credit for attendance was made available for a nominal fee.

In addition to professional development, there were also opportunities for comaraderie and socializing, notably the social hour and dinner on Friday night (photo bottom of page).
