- Member: Persons who are Members, Associates, and Fellows of APA
- Affiliate: Psychologists, physicians, and professionals from related disciplines who are not members of APA
- Student Affiliate: Students in psychology, medicine, nursing, and related fields

- Receive the Division's newsletter, "The Child, Youth, and Family Services Advocate," which is published four times per year
- Converse with other members about practice, research, and public policy issues related to children, youth and families via the Division 37 Listserv
- Hear the latest research findings presented at the APA Convention
- Receive monographs concerning task forces and discounts on books on legal and mental health issues relevant to children and families
- Hear the latest student and professional awards annually at the APA Convention
- Work with APA on policies and positions through the legislative process
- Participate in task forces to produce policy on issues relevant to children, youth, and families
