Division 43 is the Society for Family Psychology in the American Psychological Association. The Society's mission is to expand both the study and the practice of Family Psychology, through education, research, and clinical practice. The Society goes about fulfulling its mission through the application of systems theory to the ever-changing family unit. The Society places a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion both among its membership and in its practical application of theory. The Society encourages its members to seek out diversity in their scholarship and their practices. Membership in Division 43 is open to all current APA members in good standing, to all currently enrolled students of psychology, to any non-APA member psychologist, and to any non-APA member doctoral level professional or equivalent. The Society publishes The Family Psychologist, a quarterly bulletin featuring articles and columns from the nation's leading practitioners of Family Psychology. Subscriptions are available, and submissions from members and non-members alike are encouraged.
