SoAP student members,

Have you heard about the upcoming Collaborative Perspectives on Addiction meeting?!
The Society of Addiction Psychology (Div.50) and the Society of Psychopharmacology & Substance Abuse (Div.28) are joining forces once again to bring you their second annual joint meeting (February 28–March 1, 2014).
If you attended the first annual Collaborative Perspectives on Addiction (CPA) meeting in 2013, you got to experience the incredible networking opportunities and learning experiences this conference offers. Once again we anticipate many of North America's top addictions researchers and practitioners to be in attendance to discuss current and new directions in research and treatment. Given the success of the inaugural event, we expect this year to be even better.

It should be noted that unlike many larger conferences, you won’t get lost in a sea of people at CPA. This event is still relatively intimate, providing us students with a unique opportunity to make our mark as early career professionals. Smaller poster sessions, networking social events, and engaging talks give us the chance to personally interact with highly regarded researchers and practitioners. In addition, we're planning many opportunities for students to get to know one another at relaxed social events.
The priority deadline for poster abstracts is October 1, 2013. We encourage all of you to submit and/or attend the CPA conference!

See you in Atlanta!!
