Thank you to everyone that expressed an interest in running for the six offices open this election cycle.  Ultimately, there were nine named candidates on the Division 50 ballot, all well qualified.  One hundred forty-nine votes were cast or 15% of the Division membership. This was Division 50’s first election where we had two APA Council Representative positions to fill. Congratulations to:

	Frederick Rotgers, the new President-Elect.		Raymond Hanbury was elected Council Representative (Practice).
	Jalie Tucker was elected Council Representative (Science).		Clayton Neighbors was elected Member-at-Large (Science).
	Amee Patel was elected Secretary.		Jennifer Buckman was elected Treasurer.

All terms begin at the end of the Division 50 Business Meeting on August 6th in Toronto.  All terms are for three years, with the exception of President-Elect.  Frederick Rotgers will serve as President-Elect his first year, as President his second year, and as Past President his third year.  Congratulations also to Lisa Najavits who will transition from President-Elect to President at the end of the Business Meeting, and thank you to Thomas Brandon for serving as President during these last 12 months.

If you recall, Division 50 members completed surveys and indicated that they would like to get more involved in division activities (Grube, Spring 2009 TAN, pp. 14-15).  Running for office is one way to give back to the field and increase your visibility at the national level.  We will be looking for President-Elect and Member-At-Large (Practice) candidates later this year.  In addition to telling your colleagues that you are interested in being nominated next year, please also inform a member of the Nominations and Elections Committee (email addresses: krista.medina@gmail.com, selene_mackinnon@brown.edu, zywiak@pire.org).
