In March 2010, Lee Gurel, PhD, donated $150,000 to the American Psychological Foundation to support the teaching of high school psychology
Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation update
At its third meeting of the year, the Commission on Accreditation reviewed 60 doctoral, internship and postdoctoral programs for initial or continued accreditation
Center for Psychology in Schools and Education (CPSE) update
New teaching modules examine the psychology behind teaching practices and a new module on teacher stress is coming soon, along with research-based practices for third-grade teachers
Precollege and Undergraduate Education (PCUE) update
In addition to teaching tips, essay and electronic project contests, the office worked on the draft Principles for Quality Undergraduate Education in Psychology
Innovations in Graduate Education in Psychology award granted
The University of Wisconsin-Madison received award for its interdisciplinary, integrative approach to prevention
2010 APA TOPSS Excellence in Teaching award recipients announced
