Introduction
We are pleased to bring you the last 2007 edition of CoA Communications! This online newsletter is intended to inform you of actions taken during the Fall Committee on Accreditation (CoA) meeting and to provide other important information.
The CoA reviewed 62 programs during its October 18-21, 2007 meeting. As of December 1, 2007 there are 896 accredited programs, including 373 doctoral programs, 474 internship programs, and 49 postdoctoral programs.
The CoA approved the Annual Reaffirmation of Accredited Programs by receipt and review of annual reports, in accordance with Section 2.1 of the Accreditation Operating Procedures. Unless your program has been otherwise informed, this notice serves as a reaffirmation of accreditation status.

2008 CoA Leadership
The current structure of the 21-member Committee on Accreditation is changing to the 32-member Commission on Accreditation effective January 1, 2008. During the fall meeting, the CoA elected 3 members to lead the Commission for 2008: Jeff Baker, PhD will serve as Chair; Tom DiLorenzo, PhD will serve as Associate Chair for Program Review; and Nancy Elman, PhD will serve as Associate Chair for Quality Assurance.

The CoA said goodbye to 8 members whose terms of service end at the close of 2007: James Lichtenberg, PhD, Edward Gaughan, PhD, Edmund Nightingale, PhD, Karen Schilling, PhD, Milton Strauss, PhD, David Werner, PhD, La Pearl Logan Winfrey, PhD, and Jeffrey Younggren, PhD. These members have devoted a good deal of time to serving accreditation and education in psychology, and they have done so with diligence, thoughtfulness, and enthusiasm. The CoA and Office also thank Dr. Lichtenberg for his dedicated service as Chair for 2007.
The CoA also expressed its thanks to the Program Review Consultants (PRCs), whose 18 months of service have now come to an end. Frank Collins, PhD, Philip Farber, PhD, Donna Horn, PhD, Joseph Kobos, PhD, Cathy Mavrolas, PhD, Edward Sheridan, PhD, and Gerald Stone, PhD have contributed their time, knowledge, and energy to the program review process and made it possible for the CoA to dedicate more time to policy issues.

The 2008 Accreditation Assembly will be held May 30-31, 2008. The CoA will conduct workshops prior to the Assembly on May 29, 2008. The location and programming will be made available as soon as possible.
