Introduction
Welcome to the Spring 2005 edition of CoA Communications! This online newsletter
is intended to inform you of actions taken during the latest Committee on Accreditation
(CoA) meeting and to provide other important information. We hope that you
find this newsletter informative, and encourage you to contact the Office of

At its April 2005 meeting, the Committee reviewed 87 programs. As of May 10,
2005 there are 871 accredited programs, including 368 doctoral programs, 468
internship programs, and 35 postdoctoral programs.

Welcome new CoA members!
We are delighted to welcome six new members to the Committee as of January
2005: Jeffrey Baker, Ph.D., Catherine Grus, Ph.D., Karen Maitland Schilling,
Ph.D., Milton Strauss, Ph.D., Kent Wilson, M.Ed., and LaPearl Logan Winfrey,
Ph.D. These members have agreed to devote their time and expertise to psychology
education and accreditation.
