Online Annual Reports
Since 1998, all accredited programs, regardless of
whether they submitted a self-study report and/or are scheduled for
a site visit during the year, are required to complete annual
reports. The Committee on Accreditation (CoA) uses this information
to update its files and provide current and comprehensive
information on all accredited programs. Further, these annual
updates are required by the U.S. Department of Education.
This year the CoA introduced an online version of the annual
report that is designed to provide program directors with a standard
database for tracking individuals within their program. The new
online format collects data at the individual level though an online
database system. The CoA offered program directors the option of
either completing the traditional annual report or the new online
version for this year only. However, beginning with the 2003 annual
report, all accredited programs will be required to submit their
data via the internet.
The CoA and office staff have worked to make the online annual
report as user-friendly, confidential and secure, easily accessible,
and convenient as possible. As such, the office is pleased to
announce that over 75% of accredited programs opted to complete the
2002 annual report via the internet. Office staff plan to make minor
adjustments and improvements, so that the 2003 online annual report
will be made available to programs early next year. For more
