Upcoming Accreditation Site Visitor and Self-Study
Workshops
The following accreditation workshops have been scheduled to take place
during the spring and summer of 2006. Site visitor workshops are open
to those interested in becoming new site visitors, as well as to any experienced
site visitors. The Committee recommends that active site visitors attend
this workshop every five years in order to stay current with accreditation
issues. Participants receive 7.5 CE credits for this workshop, and the
Office of Accreditation pays the CE credit fees for each of the participants
in these full-day workshops.
There is especially a need in the site visitor pool for generalists
(psychologists in areas other than clinical, counseling, and school),
as well as those familiar with children’s hospitals, school psychology
internship programs, correctional facilities, and consortium programs.
Workshops on “How to Write a Self-Study” are open to anyone
interested in learning more about the accreditation Guidelines and
Principles and may be especially helpful to those who will be submitting
self-studies for their programs in the near future. There are no CE credits
offered for this workshop.
There is no cost to participants for attending any of these workshops.
To obtain further details on registration and criteria for becoming a
site visitor, contact Kristen Thompson at (202) 336-5995 or email.
