Upcoming Accreditation Workshops

The Commission on Accreditation is periodically invited to conduct accreditation workshops in conjunction with training conferences, meetings, and other events. Questions about a conference or meeting should be directed to the host organization. Unless otherwise noted, accreditation workshops are open to anyone and are not restricted to conference attendees.
If you are interested in attending any of the below workshops, you must preregister with our office. To register, please email the Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation and indicate which workshop you are interested in attending. You are not considered registered until you have received confirmation in writing from our office. Those interested in attending any site visitor workshop must also send an updated CV.

Workshop Descriptions
Site Visitor Workshops
No cost to participants for attending.
Breakfast and lunch are typically provided for those attending full-day workshops.
Required of new visitors to be eligible to conduct accreditation site visits. Please review the criteria for being a site visitor.
Open to new site visitors and experienced site visitors. Experienced visitors should attend the workshop at least every five years.
*Continuing Education (CE) credits: Each participant attending the full workshop receives 7.5 CE credits for licensed psychologists, and the Office of Accreditation pays those fees. You will be mailed your certificate a few weeks after the workshop.
There is especially a need in the site visitor corps for generalists (psychologists in areas other than clinical, counseling, and school).
The CoA makes a special effort to ensure diversity among site visitors. Therefore, the commission strongly encourages the nomination of women and members of underrepresented groups.
Site Visit Team Chair Workshops
No cost to participants for attending.
Open only to experienced site visitors.
Current site visitors who are chair-eligible (have participated in three or more visits) are encouraged to attend.
Focuses on responsibilities of leading a site visit team.
*Continuing Education (CE) credits: Each participant attending the full workshop receives 4.0 CE credits for licensed psychologists and the Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation pays those fees. You will be mailed your certificate a few weeks after the workshop.
Self-Study Workshops
No cost to participants for attending.
Open to anyone interested in learning more about the Accreditation Guidelines and Principles (G&P) and how to apply them in being responsive to the self-study instructions.
May be especially helpful to programs that will be submitting self-studies in the near future for initial or continued accreditation.
These workshops are not an avenue for individual program consultation; please contact the office if you have questions specific to your training program.
