Welcome to the Office of Graduate and Postgraduate Education and Training

Our Mission is to advance the quality and understanding of graduate and postgraduate education and training in psychology. To do this we:

  1. Develop and make public information about graduate and postgraduate education and training in psychology for the benefit of members and staff of APA, potential and current students, faculty and training supervisors and members of the general public.

  2. Support the development and coordination of national initiatives on quality enhancement in graduate and postgraduate education and training in collaboration with organizations of psychology educators and professional training councils and national and international higher education associations.

  3. Encourage, recognize and support innovative practices in graduate education that better prepare students for careers in teaching research and the applications of psychology.
