Specialization

CRSPPP - the APA Commission for the Recognition of Specialties and Proficiencies in Professional Psychology, whose function is to review petitions from petitioning organizations requesting APA’s recognition of a professional specialty or proficiency.

COS is the Council of Specialties, a Council that provides a structure for various representatives of specialties, recognized by the APA and the American Board of Professional Psychology, to meet and consider policies affecting specialization in professional psychology.

CCOPP is the Council of Credientialing Organizations in Professional Psychology, an interorganizational group that focuses on issues related to specialty and proficiency recognition, accreditation, and credentialing.
