Use "AND" between each of the terms if you want them all to appear. Example: adolescent and health. Use "OR" if you want either term to appear. Example: Anderson or Besner If you would like to search a specific field, click the button beside the field name below the box. Click on "search" to view results. Advanced Search: To perform a more advanced search, choose the "Advanced Search" link to the right of the search button on the main page. From this page, you can search multiple fields. Use the pull-down menus to select the fields you would like to search. Use the pull-down menus on the left to select the connectors "AND" or "OR" Restricting to Dates: Use the pull-down menus below the Advanced Search fields to change the dates selected. The default setting searches the entire database, whose articles date from 1980 to 2000. For example: To search for articles from 1990-1995, change the first pull-down menu to 1990 and the second pull-down menu to 1995. Searching Tips: Author To find the author: "Caitlin Ryan"   Type: Ryan or "Ryan, C*" Search a phrase Strength of gay male youth   "Strength of gay male youth" Truncation To find: psychology or psychologist Anderson or Andersen   Type: psycholog* Anders?n Boolean Operators To find records with: "adolescent" and "health" "adolescent" or "health" "adolescent" but not "health"   Type: adolescent AND health adolescent OR health adolescent NOT health
