Golden Psi Award

This new award recognizes schools that apply psychological science to encourage student growth.

The Golden Psi Award is given to schools that demonstrate psychologically based practices that contribute to positive educational outcomes. The selection committee reviewed applications from the Western region of the U.S. and selected Clover Avenue Elementary School, a Los Angeles Public School, to be the very first recipient of the Golden Psi Award based on its successful strategies in raising student achievement and social–emotional growth. Sandra Graham, PhD, from UCLA will be presenting the award to the school in May or June on behalf of APA's Board of Educational Affairs (BEA).
