Research Methods, Measurement and Statistics
This module features Stephen Chew, PhD, of Samford University, presenting on research methods, measurement and statistics. In this module, Chew presents on topics such as research methods and measurements used to study behavior and mental processes, ethical issues in research with human and nonhuman animals, and basic concepts in data analysis. The module, which was funded by a grant from the American Psychological Foundation, provides a review of content found in the Research Methods, Measurement, and Statistics standard area of the National Standards for High School Psychology Curricula (APA, 2011).
Upon completion of this one-hour module, teachers can take a multiple-choice quiz and receive a certificate for professional development hours. APA hopes teachers can use this certificate for credit in their respective school districts.
This module is provided free of charge, but registration is required. You will be asked to “purchase” each module, but please note your fee will be $0.00.
