CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
TOPSS 2005 Elections
Now is the time to consider serving on the APA Teachers of Psychology in Secondary Schools
(TOPSS) Committee. The TOPSS Committee is looking for nominees for these three positions:
- The Chair, a three-year position, is responsible for promoting pre-college teaching leadership, participating in the APA governance structure, and establishing the direction of TOPSS activities (serves one-year as Chair-Elect and serves respectively as Chair and Past Chair in the subsequent two years) .
- The Secretary/Editor, a new two-year position, serves as Contributing Editor for the Psychology Teacher Network (PTN) and recruits contributors for articles, reviews, and other resources for the PTN.
- The Membership Coordinator, a two-year position, is a representative who builds partnerships with college and high school teachers and serves as a liaison between the regional coordinators and TOPSS Committee.

The TOPSS Committee meets twice a year in spring and fall in Washington, DC. The APA covers travel and accommodation expenses. Consider self-nominating for any of the positions on the TOPSS Committee or nominate a high school teacher who would make a positive impact.
Nominations are due by June 1, 2005.
