APF/TOPSS Scholars Essay Competition Winners Selected
The APA Education Directorate, Teachers of Psychology in Secondary Schools (TOPSS), and the American Psychological Foundation (APF) are pleased to announce the winners of the fifth annual American Psychological Foundation (APF)/TOPSS Scholars Competition. Each of these three winners received $1,000 in scholarship money, generously contributed by the American Psychological Foundation.
A panel of high school, college, and university level psychology faculty selected these three students based on their ability to complete a critical analysis and synthesis of empirical research, design an original program, and generate a quality research proposal to empirically test the effectiveness of the program proposed.
The essay question posed for this year's competition focused on aspects of APA President Dr. Diane Halpern’s interests surrounding international psychology.
