Congratulations to the 2008 APA TOPSS
Excellence in Teaching Award Recipients

The APA Committee of Teachers of Psychology in Secondary Schools (TOPSS) congratulates Mary Jarvis of Wausau West High School (Wausau, WI), Katherine Minter of Westwood High School, Round Rock ISD (Austin, TX), and Allyson J. Weseley, EdD, of Roslyn High School (Roslyn, NY), recipients of 2008 APA TOPSS Excellence in Teaching Awards! Each will receive a framed certificate, an engraved award, a copy of the ActivePsych CD series, a complimentary TOPSS membership for the 2009 membership year, and a cash prize. The ActivePsych CD series was generously donated by Worth Publishers.

The APA TOPSS Excellence in Teaching Awards recognize outstanding high school psychology teachers. Award winners are commended for exemplary teaching and for their commitment to academic and professional excellence. Award winners are also recognized for their roles and initiatives that demonstrate and/or promote professional development activities and provide leadership for others in the field.
