Exams and Books
All Independent Study exams and APA publications are sold separately.
Pass/Fail
A passing score on an examination is 75 percent or better. You are allowed two attempts to successfully complete the program.
Discontinuation of Exams
Older programs or out-of-print books are rotated off of our current list. Those who have yet to return exams are given one year to complete them.
Program Deadlines
Book-based Programs, APA DVD Series, CD-ROM-based Programs, End-of-Life Issues, and Article-based Programs
There are no deadlines to complete these programs. The deadline to complete the program and earn CE credit is based on your state board requirements. For the most up-to-date information, please contact your state board directly.
APA Online Academy Programs
The program deadline is determined by the number of CE credits offered for the program. For example, if a course offers 4 CE credits, you will have 4 weeks to complete the program. You may extend your access for a cost of $20.00 per month.
Payment/Invoicing
All orders must be prepaid unless submitted on a purchase order. Purchase order payment is due 30 days from date of invoice.

Rush Processing
Rush processing is available for an additional $10.00 per “Ship To” address and provides shipment within two (2) business days of order receipt.
Shipment Method
Standard shipment is by United Parcel Service (UPS) Ground Delivery Service (street address required). Allow 7-10 days for delivery from date order is received.
Shipment Methods other than UPS
Ground Delivery Service are available by request, but will incur an additional charge. Contact the Order Department at (800) 374-2721, ext. 5510 for additional information.
Claims
Damage, shortages, or defective items must be reported immediately upon receipt. Claims made one (1) month or more following the invoice date will not be honored.
