Money Matters

Students planning to attend APA's 2003 Annual Convention should make plans early to take advantage of extra savings, convention organizers say.

American Psychological Association of Graduate Students (APAGS) members can preregister for $60 before June 23; the cost is $70 on-site. Full-time students who are not APAGS members can register for $85 in advance, $95 on-site. To register, visit the Convention home page. Students might also check with their university, department or student organizations about any financial assistance for their convention travel.

The official convention airline carriers are United Airlines and Air Canada. United and United Express offer a 5 percent discount for those attending the convention or 10 percent off unrestricted midweek coach fares. If your tickets are purchased at least 60 days in advance, an additional 5 percent discount is available. To make reservations, call United Airlines at (800) 521-4041 and refer to meeting ID number 597BD. For Air Canada, call (800) 361-7585 or (514) 393-9494 and refer to convention number CV030820.
