As part of APA's involvement in the Preparing Future Faculty in Psychology (PFF) program-a national effort to expose graduate students to faculty roles and responsibilities across different institutions-psychology students can sign up for a six-week online teaching-preparation course.
Offered by the University of New Hampshire's college teaching program, the two-credit course, "Grad 980: Preparing to Teach a Psychology Course," covers such topics as teaching philosophy, syllabus planning, text selection, classroom-management strategies, and testing and assessment. For sign-up information, go to the University of New Hampshire Web site at www.gradschool.unh.edu/pff/. For more general information on PFF and related initiatives at your university, contact APA's Paul Nelson, PhD.
