ACT honors outstanding student advocates

APAGS's Advocacy Coordinating Team (ACT) congratulates its state advocacy coordinators and campus representatives for their outstanding efforts as part of the ACT Network, which serves to advocate for psychology and lobbies for the profession when facing legislative issues about psychology.

These ACT Excellence in Leadership Award winners were recognized between August and December 2003:

• Jana McCormick, state advocacy coordinator for North Dakota

• Lesley Manson, state advocacy coordinator for Arizona

• Chun-Chung Choi, state advocacy coordinator for Illinois

The ACT Campus Leadership Award winners are:

• Kathryn Yanick, of Pacific Graduate School of Psychology

• Tara Krog, of the University of South Dakota

• Dave Lichtenstein, of the University of Oregon

• Noemi Ford, of the Illinois School of Professional Psychology
