APA's Science Directorate is seeking applicants for its annual series of intensive workshops for graduate students and established researchers. The Advanced Training Institutes (ATIs) offer researchers of all levels the opportunity to expand their expertise in varied areas. The ATIs scheduled for this summer include:
Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), June 19-24, Charlestown, Mass. The course includes hands-on training in collecting and analyzing clinical fMRI data.
Working with large-scale databases, June 7-10, Chapel Hill, N.C. Attendees will learn how to use data from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development's longitudinal Study of Early Child Care.
Additional ATIs were still in the planning stages at gradPSYCH press time, including a workshop on structural equation modeling in longitudinal research at the University of Virginia. For information on all of the institutes, including application deadlines, visit www.apa.org/science/ati.html.
