APA's 114th Annual Convention will take place on Aug. 10-13 in New Orleans. The meeting will again offer student-focused programming, networking opportunities and the chance to hear leading psychologists discuss their research.

In addition, the American Psychological Association of Graduate Students (APAGS) has developed a slate of programs and social activities for attending students. Programs cover topics such as internship preparation, mentoring, self-care, dissertations, building a practice, licensure and certification, practicum, diversity issues and navigating the convention. Students can also increase their networking opportunities by signing up to be APAGS ambassadors. Ambassadors provide information on convention events, distribute APAGS promotional items and monitor APAGS programs by taking head counts and collecting participant evaluations.

In addition, APAGS is hosting a preconvention internship workshop on Aug. 9 in New Orleans. The workshop will offer students tips on navigating the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers application and Match process.

Keep an eye on the APA Convention Web site for planning updates.
