Interested in a career in crime analysis or science administration? Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology, is seeking applications for funds for two student internship opportunities: a research internship at the FBI and an intern post for undergraduates at APA's Science Directorate. Here are the details:

  • The Psi Chi/FBI National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime (NCAVC) Internship Grant funds a 14-week research experience for undergraduate and graduate students in the fall or spring semesters at NCAVC, located in Quantico, Va.

Five NCAVC interns each semester participate in empirical research on violent crime, including research design, data collection, data analysis and publication of results. Interested applicants must first apply for and secure the internship with NCAVC-which is unpaid. If they earn a slot, they are then eligible to apply for the Psi Chi grant, an award of up to $7,000 that supplements the NCAVC internship.
