Apply for APAGS scholarships and awards

Fund your research or education with APAGS scholarships, grants and awards. This year's 13 scholarships and awards include the $1,500 Ellin Bloch and Pierre Ritchie Honorary Scholarship to support training and education in professional practice and the $1,500 Diversity Dissertation Scholarship to support a dissertation on diversity issues. More information on scholarships and awards is available here. Applications and nominations are due May 16.


Be an APAGS ambassador

Would you like to help fellow students orient themselves at APA's Annual Convention, Aug. 6–9, in Toronto? Then sign up to be a convention ambassador and help out by monitoring at least one APAGS program, providing information to student attendees and distributing promotional APAGS items. Remember to vote

APAGS members can vote for future APAGS leaders in May. The following positions are available in spring 2009: chair-elect; member-at-large, education focus; and member-at-large, communication focus. Read the candidate statements and cast your vote online.


Apply for an educational psychology research grant

Div. 15 (Educational) invites members and affiliate graduate students to apply for a dissertation research award, which provides $1,000 to two doctoral students who are preparing to collect dissertation data on topics in educational psychology. Nominate your program for a diversity award

APA's Commission on Ethnic Minority Recruitment, Retention and Training seeks nominations from ethnic minority doctoral students for the 2009 Richard M. Suinn Minority Achievement Award, which recognizes doctoral programs that demonstrate excellence in recruitment, retention and graduation of ethnic minority students. The deadline is April 15.
