What Do We Do?

The Office of International Affairs coordinates APA participation and representation in international venues, promotes international exchange, and serves as an information conduit about psychology around the world. The office promotes an active presence at international meetings through travel grant programs, facilitates exchange with national associations in other countries, and interacts with global bodies such as the United Nations (through an APA delegation to the UN), WHO, PAHO, and the IUPsyS. In addition to publishing a newsletter, Psychology International, the Office of International Affairs develops programs to facilitate exchange between U.S. and international psychologists. The Office of International Affairs provides staff support to the Committee on International Relations in Psychology (CIRP).
