KazdinWelcome Fulbrighters!

One of my goals as 2008 President of the American Psychological Association (APA) is to encourage psychologists and psychology to embrace an international, interdisciplinary and multicultural perspective as we address world challenges. At this year’s convention, we are highlighting an activity that has been promoting exchange for over 4 decades – the Fulbright programs.

I will be delighted to extend a warm welcome to over 100 former Fulbrighters – US faculty and students who travelled abroad for study, teaching, research and scholarly exchange, and international colleagues who came to US universities as faculty and students. I also welcome program officers from the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES) and the Institute of International Education (IIE) who run the Fulbright programs, and officers from the Fulbright Academy of Science and Technology (FAST), an international alumni association across the sciences.

2008 APA President, Alan E. Kazdin, PhD.
