Committee on International Relations

APA's Committee on International Affairs in Psychology (CIRP) is composed of 9 members, elected for a 3-year term by APA's Council of Representatives. Three new members are elected each year.

The slates for the election are developed by CIRP under approval of the APA Board of Directors. CIRP has developed the following targeted nominations statement (PDF, 33KB) for the slates to be developed for the 2012 election (terms 2013-2015). Nominations will be due in the spring of 2012, submitted to the APA Elections office.

The Committee on International Affairs in Psychology seeks APA members who are concerned with, knowledgeable about, and familiar with international issues related to psychology. Expertise in international research, practice, education, and policy are desired.

The Committee seeks to maintain a diverse membership in terms of ethnic, linguistic and geographical representation. The Committee welcomes nominations and self-nominations of psychologists in all stages of their career path.
