APA Reaches Out Internationally

International Activities of APA Offices, Governance and Staff

Memoranda of Understanding

APA formalizes its interactions and collaborations with national psychology associations outside the U.S. through a memorandum of understanding (MOU).

World Health Organization (WHO) ICD-10 Revision

The International Classification of Diseases (ICD) is the global standard for reporting and categorizing diseases, health-related conditions and external causes of disease and injury. WHO and its advisory groups have begun the revision process for ICD-10, and the finalized ICD-11 is expected by 2015. APA helps support this activity.

APA and CPA

APA and the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) signed and approved the First Street Accord, which mutually recognizes the equivalence of APA's and CPA's accreditation guidelines, standards and principles.
