Dear International Convention Participants:

There are two special housing opportunities at the APA convention at the University of Toronto and Ryerson University. Space is limited and the application deadlines are June 26, 2009 (University of Toronto) and June 30, 2009 (Ryerson University).

University of Toronto-89 Chestnut Residence

This is near the Sheraton Centre and the Hilton Toronto, two of APA’s supplemental hotels, and the rooms all have private baths since it was a former hotel. There are still about 100 rooms available at this location. 

• Number of rooms: 100 guestrooms with private bathroom and two double beds; maximum of two persons per room
• Dates available: Tuesday, August 4 through Sunday, August 9, inclusive. APA rate available two days pre or post conference.
• Rate: $99 CDN plus 13% tax for single or double occupancy; includes full buffet breakfast
• Entire residence is nonsmoking; smoking rooms are not available; refrigerator and microwave are available on each floor; main TV lounge. Weekly housekeeping service, modems available for nominal fee at Front Desk for high speed internet.
• Parking on space available basis - $23 CDN for 24 hours
• Nearest subway station: St. Patrick Station on University

Ryerson University-International Living Centre Residence

• Number of rooms: 30 rooms with private bathroom and with one queen size bed and a pullout sofa bed; maximum of two persons per room
• Dates available: Monday, August 3 through Sunday, August 9, inclusive
• Rate: $89 CDN plus 10% tax for single or double occupancy
• Entire residence is nonsmoking; smoking rooms are not available; full service restaurant, bar, lounge; free local phone call and internet access.
• Underground parking - $11.50 CDN plus13% tax per day; $30 deposit for 24 in/out access card to garage required.
• Nearest subway station: Dundas Station on Yonge Street

• Number of rooms: 30 rooms with one single bed and nearby shared bathroom; single occupancy only in each room
• Dates available: Monday, August 3 through Sunday, August 9, inclusive
• Rate: $55 CDN plus 10% tax for single occupancy; includes continental breakfast
• Entire residence is nonsmoking; smoking rooms are not available; free local phone call and internet access; community kitchenettes and laundry facilities; parking available through outside concession at current parking rates.
• Nearest subway station: Dundas Station on Yonge Street
