The Journal of Neuroscience, Psychology, and Economics (JNPE) publishes original research dealing with the application of psychological theories and/or neuroscientific methods to business and economics.
Therefore, JNPE is the first peer-reviewed scholarly journal that publishes research on neuroeconomics, decision neuroscience, consumer neuroscience, and neurofinance, besides more classical topics from economics and business research.
As an interdisciplinary journal, JNPE serves academicians in the fields of neuroscience, psychology, business, and economics and is an appropriate outlet for articles designed to be of interest, concern, and value to its audience of scholars and professionals.
Manuscripts that use psychological theory and/or neuroscientific methods to better understand the various aspects of business and economics are appropriate for submission.
Topics may include (but are not restricted to):
- application of concepts and methods from neuroscience and/or psychology in solving business and economics problems (e.g., consumer behavior, behavioral finance, organizational behavior, management, decision science, and game theory);
- analysis of interpersonal behavior (e.g., relationships between customer-supplier, supervisor-subordinate, and/or investor-firm) with the means of neuroscience and/or psychology;
- discussion of ethical and legal issues at the interface of psychology, neuroscience, and business and economics research;
- evaluation of the state of the field of research in neuroeconomics; and
- presentation of state-of-the-art techniques for solving neuroeconomic problems.
Manuscripts may be conceptual or empirical in nature, and feature quantitative and/or qualitative analysis.
