Experimental and Clinical Psychopharmacology publishes translational and interdisciplinary research on psychopharmacology, pharmacotherapeutic approaches to mental health disorders, and drug abuse treatment.
The journal encourages original reports on the development and evaluation of new pharmacotherapies for the treatment of mental health disorders, drug abuse treatment, the influence of gender and genetics on responses to treatment medications and to abused drugs, the pharmacological management of pain, and brain imaging studies of the neural correlates of mental disorders and/or of drug abuse.
Each year, the journal recognizes young investigators who are recipients of the Young Psychopharmacologist Award or the Best Dissertation Award, as well as mid-career and senior scientists who receive the Brady-Schuster Award from APA Division 28, Psychopharmacology and Substance Abuse. Awardees will be invited to submit a review paper based on their award-winning research.
