Psychological Services
Psychological Services® is the official publication of the Division of Psychologists in Public Service (Division 18) of APA.
Psychological Services publishes high-quality data-based articles on the broad range of psychological services delivered in organized care settings. Organized care settings refer to jails, prisons, courts, Indian Health Service, the military, Department of Veterans Affairs, public university clinics, training hospitals, state and community mental health hospitals and other public service settings.
Psychological Services encourages submission of papers that focus on broad issues related to psychotherapy outcomes, evaluations of psychological service programs and systems, and public policy analyses. Additionally, the journal focuses on broader public health issues where both community-based prevention and clinically-based interventions are used to target health and social disparities in order to bring about population-level change (e.g., homelessness, suicide, healthcare access, medical diagnoses). Submissions which outline evaluations of community-based strategies to address public health concerns (e.g., community partnership efforts, system-wide disease prevention strategies, health communication campaigns) are welcomed.
