Divisions

APA knows that psychology is a big field. But your APA membership means you won't get lost - APA's division structure makes sure of that.

APA helps to support the needs of psychology's many fields and interests through its 50 separate divisions, each of which represents an area of psychology, including:

  • experimental
  • developmental
  • personality and social
  • educational
  • emerging areas of study
  • areas of practice
  • methodology

Membership in divisions gives you the chance to connect more closely with people in your own field and to get the benefits of specialized information, meetings, and support in areas that matter to you most.

Whether you're an APA Member, Associate, or Affiliate, you can join any number of divisions to which you quality. Although some have more specialized requirements, most divisions simply require that you have an interest in the area.
