MFP Neuroscientists Attend Woods Hole Program for Eighth Year
During June 15 through July 12, 1996 nineteen MFP/SPINES
Neuroscience Fellows attended the annual APA workshop in
Neuroscience at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole,
Massachusetts. MFP/SPINES Fellows participating included Maricedes
Acosta-Martinez (Albert Einstein College of Medicine), Walter
Almanza, (USC), Deanna Brown (Meharry University), Randy Chitwood
(University of Texas, San Antonio), Dianne Cruz (St. Edward's
University) Sonja Grooms (University of SC), Carlos Jaramillo
(University of North Texas), Marlo D. Kemp (Tennessee State
University), Carole Loo (UC-San Francisco), Carlos A. Mejias-Aponte
(University of Puerto Rico), Pablo Monsivais (University of Texas,
Austin), Sharon Perez (Harvard University), Christov K. Roberson
(Mayo Graduate School), Alba Rodriguez (University of South
Florida), Ansalan E. Stewart (Southwestern University), Sherri
Stewart (East Stroudsburg University), Alejandro Terrazas
(University of Arizona), Susan Weiting (San Francisco State
University), and Robin L. Wellington (University of Pittsburgh).
The Neuroscience workshop exposed the Fellows to the latest
discoveries in the field of neuroscience. The SPINES program,
Summer Program in Neuroscience, Ethics and Survival, exposed the
fellows to a variety of issues that young neuroscientists face.
