APA's survey gets widespread media coverage

APA unveiled its 2008 Stress in America survey results, part of the Practice Directorate's Mind/Body Health public education campaign, along with consumer information on how to more effectively manage stress and when to seek professional help, on Oct. 7.

Since then, more than 100 newspaper articles and over 500 television and radio segments have reported on the survey results. National television coverage included NBC's "Today Show" and "Nightly News," CBS's "Early Show" and "Evening News," "Oprah," "Inside Edition," and "Good Day Chicago" as well as segments on CNN National, CNN En Espanol National, KNBC Los Angeles, WJW Fox Cleveland, Fox Business News and Fox Denver. Radio coverage included CNN, CBS, WTOP and Radio Caracol.

Reports also appeared in such national newspapers, magazines and online outlets as The Atlanta Journal Constitution, Chicago Tribune, Detroit News, Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, Newsweek, Orlando Sentinel, Time magazine, Time.com, Jet magazine, USA Today, The Washington Post and WebMD.com.
