AMERICAN PSYCHOLOGICAL FOUNDATION Spotlight on Laura S. Brown, PhD Laura S. Brown, PhD, recently became an APF Legacy Club member. Impressed by the effectiveness of the Placek and Scrivner grant programs, Brown felt inspired to create a similar legacy in the field of feminist psychotherapy. Brown is a writer, speaker and clinical and forensic psychologist in independent practice in Seattle. She is also the founder and supervisor of the Fremont Community Therapy Project, a low-fee psychotherapy training clinic in Seattle.
