Div. 3 convention programming spotlight At APA's 2009 Annual Convention, Aug. 6–9, in Toronto, Div. 3 (Experimental) will showcase scientists whose research crosses many domains of interest. Simona Ghetti, PhD, will present in a session on developmental and comparative metacognition. Gus Craik, PhD, and Lynn Hasher, PhD, will discuss their aging and cognition research. Div. 3 will also partner with Div. 6 (Behavioral Neuroscience and Comparative) for a joint social hour and poster session. For more information, contact Emily Elliott via e-mail. Div. 14 hosts annual conference and releases new book Div. 14 (Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology) will host its 24th annual conference April 2–4 at the Sheraton Hotel in New Orleans. The conference will feature more than 600 presentations, 15 preconference workshops, and two theme tracks: "I-O Psychologists as Leading Edge in Evidence-Based Management" and "Corporate Social Responsibility." Div. 15 announces pre-conference, new appointment, dissertation research awards Div. 15 (Educational) will hold a one-day meeting the day before APA's Annual Convention on the teaching of educational psychology. The conference targets college faculty who teach undergraduate and graduate students. Anyone interested in presenting can contact Eric Anderman via e-mail. Debra Meyer, PhD, of Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Ill., will join Barbara McCombs, PhD, of the University of Denver as co-editor of the "Psychology in the Classroom" series, which bridges the work of educational psychology to practitioners. Div. 15 invites members to apply for a dissertation research award, which provides $1,000 to two doctoral students preparing to collect dissertation data on topics in educational psychology. Div. 17 (Counseling) announces two conferences Ball State University, in Muncie, Ind., will host the 22nd annual Great Lakes Counseling Psychology Conference March 27–28.
