Div. 3 members: Stick together at APA's convention

Div. 3 (Experimental) encourages members to register early for convention and book rooms in the Intercontinental Toronto Centre Hotel. Not only is the hotel the nearest to the convention center, but being there will allow interaction by having all Div. 3 members in one place. For more details about the Div. 3 schedule and convention programming, visit www.apa.org/divisions/div3/Newsletter.htm.

Engage the community with Div. 17

More than 100 youth and adult community members, counseling psychologists and graduate students learned how to give back to the community by participating in a "Youth and Community Violence Training" event in Dorchester, Mass., before APA's 2008 Annual Convention, in Boston. The event was sponsored by Div. 17 (Society of Counseling Psychology) and the Boston Ten-Point Coalition. Div. 17 will continue this tradition with community engagement events in Toronto by partnering with Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services. Access Alliance works to promote health and well-being and improve access to services for immigrants and refugees in Toronto by addressing medical, social, economic and environmental issues. Find out how to get involved by contacting Priscilla Dass-Brailsford, EdD, Rebecca Toporek, PhD or Chanda Corbett, PhD.
