Div. 14 announces blog and consortium

Div. 14 (Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology) launched a new blog during its 24th Annual Conference in April. The blog welcomes all issues dealing with the field of industrial-organizational psychology. Visit the SIOP Exchange at www.siopexchange.typepad.com.

Also, plan now for this year's Leading Edge Consortium, Oct. 16–17, at the Hyatt Regency Tech Center in Denver. The topic of this year's consortium is "Leading Edge of Selection and Assessment in a Global Setting." The consortium offers two days of presentations on a topic relevant to industrial-organizational psychology. In addition to seeing presentations, attendees can network with leaders and colleagues in the field through lunches, coffee breaks and dinners. Visit the Div. 14 Web site at www.siop.org/lec/default.aspx.

Div. 17 announces six new interest groups and convention symposia

The Div. 17 (Society for Counseling Psychology) Section on Animal-Human Interaction: Research and Practice announces the formation of six new interest groups: Animals and Interpersonal Violence; Human-Animal Bond; Animal-Related Activities and Treatments; Animals and Human Health; Measurement and Evaluation; and Cross Cultural Aspects of Animal-Human Interaction.
