Some of the world's leading scientists will gather at Clark University Oct. 3–5 to explore the workings of the mind and new developments in the study of the brain and genetics, the psychological approach, and how thought, motivation and emotion play a role in behavior. "Great Minds Come to Clark—Freud Revisited" commemorates the centennial of Sigmund Freud at Clark in 1909.
Conference topics include "Freud in the Mirror of History," an exchange between Clark and the Sigmund Freud University of Vienna; "Does the Mind Still Matter?" addressing the relevance of Freud's ideas to contemporary societal and global issues; and "Knowledge, Practice and Experience—Implications for Psychology."
