The American Psychological Foundation Visionary Grants aim to support the most innovative work in psychology — work that seeks to provide solutions to behavior and problems that impact the very fabric of our society. In this vein, the foundation invites proposals in the following key areas:
The connection between mental and physical health.
Violence prevention and intervention.
Psychological needs of individuals and communities in the long-term aftermath of disaster.
Awareness of stigma and prejudice to end discrimination.
APF’s Visionary Grants support original psychological research, education and intervention projects. APF will give preference to pilot research that would be well-positioned for support from major federal and foundation funding agencies, and demonstration projects that could be replicated. APF has $80,000 available for Visionary Grants and will confer awards of approximately $20,000 each. For more information, go to Visionary and The Drs. Rosalee G. and Raymond A. Weiss Research and Program Innovation Grants.
