Special events
  • Social Hour for Early Career Psychologists, co-sponsored by the Committee on Early Career Psychologists and the APA Insurance Trust. Friday, Aug. 5, 6–6:50 p.m.

  • Early Career Family Social Hour. A special family social hour with wine and hors d’oeuvres for the parents in one area of the room and entertainment and snacks for the kids just a few steps away. Time to be announced, Saturday, Aug. 6.

  • Early Career Family Room. A room with comfortable seating for parents and an entertainment/play area for children (featuring activities like storytelling and movie time, face painting, activity sheets and crayons). Activities are suitable for children ages 10 and younger, but all are welcome. The family room hours are: Thursday and Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 8 a.m. to noon. The room is located in the Washington Convention Center, Salon A (Street Level). Please note that children must be accompanied by a parent at all times in the Early Career Family Room.

  • Early Career Psychologist Booth. Pick up materials and resources for early career psychologists. Located in the Member Resource Area of the Washington Convention Center, Exhibit Halls D and E.
