Learn about teaching research from Div. 2 mentors

Div. 2 (Society for the Teaching of Psychology) is offering a workshop on how to conduct research on teaching and learning on Oct. 11–13 in Atlanta. This will take place in conjunction with the division's Best Practices Conference on Research Methods and Statistics, Oct. 12–13, also in Atlanta. The cost of the workshop is $150 and includes all meals and attendance at all three keynote sessions of the Best Practices conference. Visit the Div. 29 booth in Orlando

Div. 29 (Psychotherapy) will host a booth in the exhibit hall at APA's Annual Convention in Orlando, Fla., Aug. 2–5, as a way to connect with APA members. The booth will feature information about membership, the division's grants and awards, continuing education opportunities and more.

Let Div. 31 fund your trip to state leadership

Div. 31 (State, Provincial and Territorial Psychological Association Affairs) is accepting applications for its 2012 Diversity Leadership Development Training Grant, which provides leadership training for minorities at APA's 2013 State Leadership Conference, to be held March 9–12 in Washington, D.C. The submission deadline is Nov. 1.

Meet Olympic psychologists at Div. 47 program

Div. 47 will host "Sport Psychology in the Olympics," a conversation hour on Aug. 3 at 9 a.m. during APA's Annual Convention in Orlando, Fla. Run or walk Ray's Race with Div. 47

The Running Psychologists, a section of Div. 47 (Exercise and Sport) invites sponsors and participants for the annual Ray's Race 5K Run and Walk, set for 7 a.m. on Aug. 4 during APA's Annual Convention in Orlando, Fla.

The division will award prizes to the top finishers in each age group as well as for the top male and female finishers. Ray's Race was named in honor of former APA CEO Raymond D. Join Div. 50 to discuss stimulant medication

Div. 50 (Society of Addiction Psychology) will host the panel discussion, "Stimulant Medication, ADHD and Substance Use Outcomes," on Aug. 2, during APA's Annual Convention in Orlando, Fla. Experts from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, the National Institute on Drug Abuse and representatives from psychology and psychiatry departments across the United States will discuss the controversial issue of whether the use of stimulant medication to treat attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder increases the risk of substance abuse in adulthood.
