Researchers, practitioners and advocates with an interest in rehabilitation research are invited to attend "Bridging Gaps: Refining the Disability Research Agenda for Rehabilitation and the Social Sciences," a conference to be held May 29-31, at the Hyatt Regency Washington in Washington, D.C.
The goal of the conference is to develop a transdisciplinary research agenda in the social and behavioral sciences with the aim of helping people with disabilities in four areas: employment, well-being, community participation and resources.
Conference sponsors include the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR), the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitation Services, the U.S. Department of Education, APA and APA's Div. 22 (Rehabilitation), and the Research and Training Center at University of Wisconsin-
Stout and the Research and Training Center at Howard University.
Researchers who would like to participate in the conference are invited to post their input on the UW-
