CE opportunities
APA's Office of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) offers an array of continuing professional education products and services at www.apa.org/ce. They include:
* APA Independent Study Programs, available for online purchase, with an option of purchasing a hard-copy or electronic version of the examination. By purchasing the electronic version of the exam, users can take and submit the test online, and receive their scores instantly. Upon passing the exam, users will receive CE verification via regular mail from APA's CPE Office.
* Selected articles from the American Psychologist offered for CE credit at the cost of $15 per credit. Exams are only available online.
* A new CD-ROM program that offers you a chance to earn six CE credits and a 10 percent liability insurance discount if you are insured with APA Insurance Trust (APAIT). "Introduction to professional liability and risk management" (module one) and "Risk management with life-threatening patients" (module two) are sold as a set and are offered for CE credit through a joint partnership between APA CPE and APAIT.
APA's CE Web site also offers a list of APA-approved sponsors and the CE calendar lists resources for CE programs available in your area.
