For the next several months, the Monitor will feature psychology's leaders whose vision, time and financial support have made APF a major philanthropic organization for psychology.

Dr. and Mrs. James Campbell Quick

"Our contributions to APF honor the pioneering work of Jim's maternal grandfather, Otto Alois Faust, MD. As a professor of pediatrics and second-generation Freudian, Dr. Faust's work reflected the best psychology had to offer distressed and vulnerable children so that they might grow healthy, strong and secure. We feel blessed and fortunate to be able to give to APF, which we see as a great opportunity to invest in psychology, in psychologists and in a healthy future for America. Psychology, for young and old and all of us in the middle, helps build a healthy world. Thank you APF!"

Sheri Schember Quick teaches preschool at First Presbyterian Church in Arlington, Texas, and Dr. James Campbell Quick is a psychology professor at the University of Texas at Arlington. The Quicks are both Paul Harris Fellows of the Rotary Foundation, a position that honors "service above self" to the community and the nation.
